The  biodiversity of the Gargano is considered unique thanks to the variety of plant and animal species. It is one of the favorite destinations for hunting lovers who come here from all over Italy.
The hunting season in the Gargano runs from September to January. Gargano lends itself to different types of hunting, among which is the migratory hunting.
Within the designated hunting areas located in the Gargano National Park you can find blackbirds, thrushes, wood pigeons, larks , quails, and many other species.
In addition to hunting during the period allowed by law, it is possible to go hunting all year round in the Gargano at the Nardini Park, an area of 70 hectares. Inside the park there is also the ZAC area (dog training area) a perfect place to improve the training of own hunting dogs.
For those who want to perfect shooting techniques, a short distance from Park Nardini is the grave of Olympic Target Shooting.
